So I’ve used all of the expensive stuff, Pro-Active, Avon, Arbonne, and Mary-Kay and none of those seemed to work and now I’m using Neutrogena (been using it for about 1 1/2 - 2 months now) but that really isn’t working either. Have any refrences for other skin care products that will work? (If it helps, my face tends to be pretty oily)

I have the same problem, try Clearasil (apply before you go to bed). It will probably dry out your skin so use a good moisturizer during the day that’s hypo-allergenic and wont clog pores. Also try using mineral/natural make-up.
Hope it helps.

Natural Skin Care Tips

How many times did it ever happen that you watch at the beauty pageants and have wondered if you can also possess the same texture of skin that the ramp scorchers you are seeing so gleefully flaunt? Or is it some untimely ageing had taken a toll of your once smooth and soft skin? Well Nature has its own course of mending whatever little scars it creates over anything. Those who were down earlier probably would feel a bit easier.

It is too good to have a great skin, and is the former requisite headed for an excellent makeup. Skin therefore plays a vital role in our life, how one looks and feels directly relates to ones skin Making the best choices for our bodies, and ultimately our skin, is achieved through diet/ food, exercise, regular professional treatments, personalized homecare, and a healthy mental attitude.

Undertaking health and beauty “rituals” indiscriminately - slowing time and gravity’s tentacles continues to lead us on a trail that has been philosophized throughout history and evolving into the current trends of spending quite a handsome amount to the pocket of your Javed Habibs and God knows who else. Beauty comes from within, for the beauty that is without resemblances is the beauty that is within oneself, a beauty that makes each person unique.

The type of skin you have is dependant on your genes, sex, age, environment, structure and regeneration. How you treat your skin will always be evident in your face, hands and body. Some say it’s never too early or too late to begin looking after your skin.

This is an era where people try to pull two opposite ends together as far as possible. So in this age of intense pollution reckless urbanization and all other factors that play a lead role in damaging your skin, still remaining a “conch-shell skin possessor” would demand your skin cleansed, because pollution, grease and grime cling to the skin, clogging pores, while the body eliminates toxins through perspiration. If the cleansing process is not thoroughly undertaken, the skin will look and feel sluggish, tired and minor skin problems and irritations will transpire.

Try and explore the methods to keep up a skin that ever lasts for your life by different ways. For example, proper diet is giving major importance (sorry to break the hearts of rash eaters) to the shine of skin. A diet for blemish-prone skin must be consistently high in protein and fresh raw fruit and vegetables. There are some regulations to observe in the diet.

Although intense exposure to the sun can produce symptoms of aging and can even predispose it to cancer, constant little exposure to sun light in your day’s schedule is important to rejuvenate your skin. But at the same time it should be pointed out that the sun rays in the current situation can do a lot of damage than good. The most damaging effect of the sun is that it dehydrates the skin causing it to become dry and rough and wrinkled, freckles, pigmentation and patches may also occur. An immediate reaction is expansion of blood vessels that is why skin looks flushed, red and gets tanned if stayed out in the sun for long. However sun is very good for children, as they require Vitamin D, which is abundant in sunlight for their growth and metabolism.

There are actually some secrets to choose the right method to care your skin. Some tips you would love to follow while you plan a day in beach. Your skin can also shine with the fragrances of Aromatherapy.

There are special tips to follow, to prevent your skin from Anti aging. Your skin in addition sometimes needs facial treatments and look out for the fabulous facial treatments. Do not forget to sense that the skin on your eyes, are also in need of special and unique care.

REVERSING AGING, ADVANCING HOPE

Flawless skin, refined texture, and the softness you would love to touch-these are the constant promises and benefits of Anti Aging Creams we find in cosmetics department stores, today. Women are constantly in search for the best products in the market which could provide them with the rejuvenating miracle they have always been looking for in various Anti Aging products. Whether the product is imported or locally made, whether it is pricey or affordable, as long as it can fulfill the nagging need in most women to retain their youth, cash registers would always have a field day in stores.

If we take a look at the shelf giants today like Biotherm, L’Oreal, Zirh, among others, they are known for the “special” ingredients they contain-the ones guaranteed to offer the best results overnight or for a considerable length of time depending on skin type and the individual’s beauty and anti-aging demands. However, there are only two kinds of anti-aging cream in the market today regardless what is stated on their labels. It is time to define the difference between naturally and chemically manufactured products. Yes, we set our sights on the benefits, but the ingredients worth a look, too.

Beauty products always carry taglines whichtitillates the senses - everyone wants to become beautiful. Beauty always captures the world, so they say, in fact, every famous man or woman in history always has another man or woman behind who influenced the course of their fate. What we don’t see beneath the surface of elegant plastic container and within plastic cream bottles are beauty ingredients that may be harmful.

Let us separate the common setting of a grocery shelf into two: natural skin creams from artificial creams. Although the packaging will tell us that they offer common benefits, the packaging will never tell us if they have side effects, and most importantly what they truly contain.

Let us take a bottle of natural anti aging cream for an example. The product’s contents may come from leaves like natural Aloe Vera, Asian Papaya, fruit and vegetable essence, and other naturally acquired substances. Evaluating the ingredients of this cream, we will surely agree to one thought: there are less chances of having side effects due to the natural aspects of the product.

Natural anti aging creams have always been less suspected to cause cancer and skin problems. Irritation and allergies have less chances of occurring due to the compatibility of natural essence to most skin types. Natural anti aging creams are known for their special ability of adapting to different skin types without causing irritations, wounds, and rashes. Aside from being just the “friendly type” of cream, natural anti aging creams can produce the same nanoparticles which artificial items are injected with. These nano-particles, also termed microenscapulation, make the natural ingredients easier to be absorbed by the skin.

Unfortunately, not all natural creams last long enough to provide the user their best results. Natural creams are easily spoiled unless injected with preservatives; but opting for that would mean losing the natural essence of the product.

Let us now pick up a household name from the shelf were artificial creams belong to. If we view them closely, they may contain uncommon ingredients. They either contain most of the laboratory-infused ingredients or they are plainly too artificial thus unsafe for usage. Also known as artificial anti aging creams, these products contain unnatural peptides, Vitamin A or retina-A, Alph-Lipoic Acid, and Hyaluronic Acid or DMAE. These products are possible factors for skin rashes when used onto the wrong skin type, and worse, they could be the very sources of skin cancer and other skin abnormalities

As a cosmetics user, you are always open to two options: go artificial or go natural, but for the choice of safety and for the choice of receiving par benefits, going natural would be the best option.

Guide to Anti Aging Cream

Posted on: 27, Jun

Aging is scary for everyone. Very few people really want to be known as old and weak, and possibly unattractive. The youth is oblivious of the passage of time and very soon we find ourselves in our thirties and forties fighting to keep the lines of age from our face. Women usually get their fist wrinkles around the eyes – the crow’s feet; while men get the laughter lines, around the mouth. This is the time when people start looking for remedies such as antiaging cream products to look better, to erase the signs of passing time.

Fast action is the best action

Skin care is not something that gives results overnight. Ideally you should follow strict skin care regimes right from your twenties. However, since one starts with damage control only after it sets in and that is about the age of thirty, you will need to take immediate action. The moment you touch thirty whether you see your first wrinkles or not, you need to start a good skin care program. This would include a number of antiaging cream products for periodic exfoliation, moisturizing and nutrient replenishments added as per the prescribed norms.

Skin care program is a way of life

Many think that buying expensive antiaging cream products will totally solve their problems and they can lay back and relax. Nothing can be further from truth. It is true that you can get any type of cream in the market, some which offer dramatic results. However, skin care involves a lot of other factors such as diet, sleep, smoking, pollution of air, sun exposure, alcohol consumption and so on. Each of these factors contribute to the way the skin will look and excesses in any of them will manifest itself in aging of the skin.

The antiaging cream products of today

We are lucky to have a great deal of products in the market today which can help in almost all the age-related problems. Most of them are directed to women between 30 and 50 years of age who are conscious enough to take care and invest time and money in their looks. The most common antiaging cream products consist of collagen, AHA (exfoliating agents) and sun control ingredients.

Good news for Men

While anti-aging products are most popular with women, men are now slowly getting into the market. It has been observed that aging to a certain extent looks good on men since it makes them appear more mature and wise. However, men are becoming increasingly conscious about their looks. Since men will never use cosmetics that are meant for women, the industry is now churning out a number of antiaging cream products specifically targeted to them.

Nowadays, people look for natural alternative anti-aging treatments. Because some traditional products based on vitamin a or collagen - for example retinol - can cause excessive irritation to the skin.

A natural ingredient that has proven to be an effective anti-aging treatment is shea butter.

Ultra pure Shea Butter’s oily qualities improve skin softness and suppleness, which make it ideal for dry or sensitive skin care, winter sports products, and for body lotions and hand care products. Moreover, ultra pure shea butter may be formulated into capillary preparations to prevent and treat scalp dryness, and provide good lubrication for the hair, resulting in improved brilliance and manageability.

Shea butter is solid and comes from the natural fat obtained from the karite tree grown in West and Central Africa. Shea butter is an emollient that is extremely therapeutic, helping to heal cracked, aged and damaged skin. Its chemical constituents help to heal bruising and soreness, and penetrates the skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. It has vitamin A, E and is highly compatible with skin.

Shea butter has been used to heal small wounds, burns and skin ulcers. It contains fatty acids, phytosterol and unsaponifiables, which stimulate the skin’s renewal process, providing a more youthful, vibrant appearance. Its texture is typically soft and butter-like so it melts readily into the skin.

Shea butter also helps protect the skin from the damaging effects of the sun while repairing cellular degeneration. Nevertheless, it is not sufficient to prevent sun damage and it will always be important to use a sunscreen during sun exposure as a way of prevention.

There are several shea butter products in cosmetic market place. However, if levels of concentration are below 20%, products will not be useful enough; you should review labels in order to determine shea butter concentration levels.

On the other hand, if level of concentration is over 20 per cent, product will be highly beneficial as anti aging skin care treatment.

There are three types of shea butter;

- Raw shea butter; this one has not been exposed to refinement process.
- Refined shea butter and
- Shea oil; this one is produced during the process of making shea butter.

Shea butter offers many anti aging skin care benefits, whatever of three types listed above are excellent ingredients for an anti-aging skin care regime.

To sum up, natural or botanical products are an effective alternative to treat your skin against aging without known side effects.

Many people see skin care or anti wrinkle creams as an anti aging treatment. Although you can do things to reduce the appearance of aging, we are still growing old. Some creams promote healthy skin and can help skin become healthier but avoiding excessive sunlight and smoking can do so much more to improve the overall health of your face.

Skin creams do not prevent aging, but they can make the skin healthier. This is the secret to how they work. It does not matter if the product is a basic antioxidant or something that helps to exfoliate dead cells. It does not matter if they have vitamins or antioxidants; the end result you are after is clear skin and healthy cells and to get it you need to address the root cause of cellular damage.

What is the root cause of cellular damage and wrinkles?

Pinpointing the Triggers
- UVA Radiation and Free Radical Oxydation
- Reduced Cellular Turnover
- Chronic Inflamm-aging

Ultraviolet Radiation and Oxygen Radicals
It is well-known that ultraviolet light induces harmful photochemical reactions in the skin and inflammation therein.

During exposure and as repair of the UV damage takes place, super-oxide radicals are formed in the skin. UV irradiation also causes some microvascular damage in the skin. This leads to local hemorrhage and “leakage” of blood cells into the dermis. Iron from the hemoglobin accumulates in the extra-cellular matrix of the tissue as Fe +2 and Fe +3. It is known that iron catalytically participates in the conversion of superoxide radicals to hydroxyl radicals, a species which is known to be very damaging to tissue.

In addition to their role in UV radiation induced tissue damage, oxygen radicals are known to be capable of reversibly or irreversibly damaging compounds of all biochemical classes. Some of these compounds include nucleic acids, proteins and free amino acids, lipids and lipoproteins, carbohydrates, and connective tissue macromolecules. These compounds may have an impact on such cell activities as membrane function, metabolism, and gene expression.

Reduced Cellular Turnover
Billions of cells die in the body every day by normal processes (apoptosis). These dead cells need to be recognized by phagocytes and cleared rapidly.

Specific cells in the body are designed to ingest dangerous particles, such as invading bacteria. These professional eating cells, or phagocytes, also eat dead or dying cells. This process of clearance of dead or dying cells is necessary to allow for the repair of damaged tissue and to maintain normal tissue. When this process of cellular ingestion (phagocytosis) is deregulated, the body becomes susceptible to chronic infections and autoimmunity disorders.

Inflammation is a noun, the verb that reflects the process is “inflammaging”.
Inflammation is what we see as a result of the first response of the immune system to infection or irritation and may be referred to as the innate immune cascade. Imagine your body calling 911 for help. At the first sign of inflammation, all those cells respond like fire trucks to a blaze. Inflammation normally constitutes the body’s initiation of healing or putting out the flames we can say. However, when inflammation is not properly regulated, it can result in chronic diseases. Would you continue to spray water on a fire that has been put out? You body sometimes continues to send responders to a site that does not require the help. Arthritis is caused when chronic inflammation leads to joint pain and damage. Chronic inflammation can also contribute to conditions such as atherosclerosis, obesity, Alzheimer. Deregulated or overzealous inflammatory responses can cause eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, and contribute to photo-aging and other skin problems and disorders.

It is important to understand that inflammation is neither “healthy” nor “unhealthy” on its own: Inflammation helps fight disease, but it comes at the cost of suspending the body’s normal immune and catabolic processes. In the short term this is often a valid trade-off, but in the long term it causes progressive damage.

The problem with inflammation is our body reacts in very much the same way it learned to react during the millions of years of our evolutionary drift. By sending to any site of injury and insult to our body, even to the slightest one, all its army of immune system soldiers (lymphocytes, macrophages, neutrophils…) , overcharged with chemical death weapons to get rid of the offenders, with no consideration even for its own cells that might happen to be in their way and also do get killed. After all… it used to be a matter of life or death! NOT OF BEAUTY AND HEALTH.

This is what is meant by inflammatory reaction. And, Oh Boy! You might as well bet those soldiers are inflamed!

Counteracting the Triggers
Got the point? Modulating the inflammatory response is the recipe for success! Cool down guys (immune cells), past are the times when bacteria and other micro-organism ruled. Or is it just wishful thinking? Is it not true that we carry on and inside our body three times more bacteria than the number of cells our organism is made of?

Fact is our body is ingrained with the memories of past battles, fought to protect our system whenever damaged or injured and does not listen to just any argument made up by the pharmaceutical companies or those selling anti aging products aiming to reduce the appearance of aging.

During our evolutionary drift, injuries and wounds represented a serious threat to our organism, not only due to blood loss, but also due to tissue damage or infection from the invasion of foreign bodies such as dirt, splinters, and bacteria. The adult wound healing mechanism that evolved to respond to this threat has two fundamental characteristics: First, there is a rapid and robust inflammatory response, with recruitment of activated macrophages, neutrophils, and lymphocytes to the injured site; and second, there is a fibrotic “walling-off” response to isolate the foreign body, with liquefaction of adjacent tissue which leads to abscess formation and scarring.

Is the inflammatory response still appropriate?

Scar Less Healing
“An abscess and its subsequent scar is not an evolutionarily optimized end point for today’s injuries,” Dr. Mark Ferguson, D.D.S., Ph.D., professor in the faculty of life sciences at the University of Manchester, England, says. The abscess and scarring response, with its massive inflammatory overdrive, is optimized for a very different type of skin lesion than those occurring nowadays where hygiene and clean faces and bodies rule. The abscess and scar is induced by this inappropriate inflammatory response.

Something is missing in all the products out there. Something that would let your body know it is being taken care of properly, and does not need to react with its inflammatory army. Not just the natural or chemical ingredients that fight the signs of aging when it is already too late, but also the accumulated damage from excess solar radiation and free radicals plus the wear and tear that becomes chronic inflammatory lesions.

A new glycoconjugates fluid made of glyco or sugar molecules bound to soluble proteins, enzymes, co-enzymes, and basic elements like copper, calcium, iron and zinc, produced by a little creature to protect, repair, renew and deeply moisturize its skin is the promising breakthrough ingredient that can yield those results.

Anti Aging Products

Posted on: 21, Jun

Aging is a natural process, and it is also true that no one can completely prevent nature. Anti- aging skin products have completely revolutionized the concept of skin care. Anti Aging is the process of delaying the effects of aging, particularly of skin like wrinkles, lines, crowfeet and sags. Many of the anti aging products include ingredients that are risky and have been linked to cancers. Anti- aging skin products prevent general ageing of the skin by providing reinforced protection against daily aggression. These anti-aging products fight both visible and invisible signs of ageing. The best anti aging product is most likely to contain ingredients that fight aging: Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA), antioxidants, collagen and Vitamins C, D, E and K. Botox is one of the effective anti aging treatments available. Many of these vitamins are antioxidants which fight against free radicals in the body.

Beta-Hydroxy Salicylic Acid (BHA) or its alternative alpha-hydroxy acids rids the skin of dead skin cells through exfoliation. Antiaging Exercise is a natural procedure that often works better than any chemical-based product. Facial tone exercises, including wiggling the ears, moving the mouth in rotation can help minimize or to get rid of wrinkles. Anti-aging skin products are available for both men and women. Anti-aging products for dry skin are available in a variety of forms. Several of the anti aging products we have in the market these days already have added vitamins. Anti-aging products for men are specifically formulated to enhance the texture of a man’s thicker and tougher skin as compared to a woman’s skin that is far more soft and delicate.

Other popular anti aging supplements such as estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, DHEA, thyroid and melatonin are also essential in an anti aging product. These are more commonly as hormone supplements that delay aging. Botanicals such as grape seed extract, soy compounds, green tea and Gingko biloba are relatively new in the market and have gained great popularity in recent years, but their healing qualities have yet to be proven through randomized, placebo-controlled human trials. Vitamin B, though what evidence does exist is promising. Moisturizers have not been extensively researched, but have been shown to improve the hydration and appearance of skin. Vitamin A, or retinols have shown great promise.

If you’re seriously interested in preventing wrinkles I’ve got some good news, and some bad news. The good news is that there is a stunning new anti aging anti wrinkle cream now available now that is doing fantastic things to help todays women prevent wrinkles.

The bad news is that using an anti aging anti wrinkle cream isn’t all you should be doing to prevent wrinkles, the best wrinkle prevention program takes some effort, and involves more than just using an anti wrinkle cream.

Firstly lets look at why our skin starts to form wrinkles and lines and crows feet as we age, and why oru skin seems to sag when it never did before. Because there’s no doubt that aging is bad for our skin, and bad skin is bad for our self esteem.

As we age our skin starts to lose collagen and elastin, the 2 most important skin proteins. Collagen and elastin are both responsible, together, for our skin health, youthfulness and suppleness, as well as our skin elasticity. And the loss of collagen and elastin means that our skin starts to lose it’s elasticity so that gravity takes over our skin much more than it used to. So when, in the past, we could pinch our skin and pull and let it snap back into place, now when we do that our skin just doesn’t seem to do it well any more.

That’s skin aging. And our skin loses some of it’s ability to hold moisture, and it loses it’s glow, and just doesn’t seem so healthy any more. All caused by the loss of collagen and elastin as we age.

Fortunately we have some excellent skin scientists around, and the very best ones have come up with a way to stimulate the skin to produce more of it’s own collagen and elastin. Which is a good thing, because many of the big brands of skin care products and anti aging products try and increase the levels of skin collagen and elastin by adding these to their bottles of moisturizers, skin creams, anti wrinkle creams and night creams and so on, and this doesn’t work.

Why doesn’t it work adding collagen and elastin to the bottles of skincare products? Because applying collagen and elastin to our skin is of no use because the molecules of these 2 proteings are very large, and don’t enter the skin. But the big brands put them in there anyway, because when people see them listed on the label they buy the products anyway, not realising that putting them in the product doesn’t work.

So the worlds best scientists got to work and found a way to stimulate the skin to produce more of it’s own collagen and elastin, and trials have shown it to be stunningly successful, with visible results within a month.

So why is there bad news? Because although you can now buy the worlds best anti aging anti wrinkle cream, that’s only a part of a total anti aging equation. Because great looking healthy skin free of wrinkles is all about skin health. And skin health is all about overall health. By keeping our bodies healthy our skin stays healthy too, because our skin is just another organ in our body.

So to have the best chance of great wrinkle free skin right into old age you need to use the best anti aging anti wrinkle cream in the world, but you also need to pay attention to your diet, with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, and to exercising as well. Do both of these things and you’re well on your way to great skin health and staying wrinkle free much older.

Oh, and there’s one more thing. Don’t smoke, and don’t get sunburned. Smoking and sunburn are two of the worst things you can do to your skin. Remember, I said there was bad news too.

So if you’re looking to stay wrinkle free for as long as you can, you need to use the worlds best anti aging anti wrinkle cream, and have a healthy lifestyle. Do all of that and you’ve maximized your chances of staying wrinkle free right into old age, and being fit and healthy too. And so you can look, and feel, great.
